AAS Mentoring Conference

The AAS Mentoring Conference, organized by students and post-docs of AAS (spAAS), was held on Friday, October 23. The goal of the seminar was to discuss and share ideas regarding areas of mentorship that were identified in a recent survey to students and post-doctoral members.

Overview talks by current AAS President, Sumit Dhar and Student Mentoring Chair, Lisa Hunter were followed by team-led breakout rooms. We had an outstanding group of experienced researchers who led discussions in the breakout rooms, offered their perspectives and interacted with small groups of students, post-docs and early stage researchers and clinicians.
